10 new research projects in 2019, 12 new researchers in 2020 for CROSS-TEC
In 2019 a leap forward for the CROSS-TEC laboratory: a new operating unit on big data, ten new projects on smart cities, blockchain, 3Dprinting, CO2 and energy. And now a call for 12 fellows.
During 2019 the ENEA CROSS-TEC regional laboratory consolidated its ability to respond to the research demand of the territory and at the same time to represent the competences of the ENEA Energy Technologies Department on the regional territory. Organizationally, a new operating unit, HPC-Lab, was set up, dedicated to high-performance and big data computing, coordinated by Dr. Simonetta Pagnutti. 10 new projects have been launched, of which several insist on the issues of smart cities, above all with a community point of view, with pilots on the regional territory (Roveri-Pilastro, Bologna and Imola, Ravenna); on the subject of Made in Italy and manufacturing industry other projects explore the use of 3D CAD and blockchain technologies; alongside ICT technologies, the laboratory explores energy technologies, connected for example to CO2 reduction and innovative fuels. To support this effort, the laboratory now announces 12 research fellows with a national competition, expiring on 10 February
